The location was quiet and the reception/bar staff were very pleasant. The room was a pleasant temperature.

The breakfast was published to run until 09:30 however at 09:00 they cleared away the hot buffet so I did not manage to have any. The plumbing was a bit noisy ie not very good sound proofing between bathrooms.

We liked the location close to Rockingham castle where we went to the Jaguar Drivers Club National Day,we found the hotel friendly and cosy all facilities were good.

The warm welcome and the friendliness off all the staff. The food was a definate plus very nice.

It was quiet and relaxing but that was about all.

The staff were pleasant but there was not enough of them. No bar staff, the receptionist was running between the pair. The menu for a Sunday meal was very poor. No sauces/salt & pepper were put out and we had to ask on a number of occasions to get them, they did arrive at the end of our meal. We did not get the full meal we asked for as part of the meal was missing. On returning to our room for a tea, the tea pot had not been emptied and was full of old tea and tea bags. We were only given one towel for our stay. The literature by the bed was old, chewed at the edges and covered in old food. We went for our breakfast and informed that they had no chief. Not a good start to the day.

Stayed in Cottingham Suite. While clean, room badly in need of a Makeover. Looks nothing like the suite displayed on the Internet.

The staff were very friendly and attentive from the minute i checked in to check out time. Receptionist on arrival was very welcoming, bar and restaurant staff during evening and at breakfast very attentive and checkout carried out very efficiently. Overall a fantastic place to stay.

Service at its very best! Spacious suite with excellent shower. Evening meal was excellent, breakfast a little disappointing but not bad. Location suited our needs and the hotel is pet friendly, other hotels in the area could learn from this!

The Hunting Lodge is in lovely peaceful rural setting, the hotel has character, nice food & the staff are very friendly & helpful.

The overall setting was magnificent, lovely village location with easy access to nearby towns.

unfortuatly there was a wedding reception on Sturday night so we could not use the bar or resteraunt.Both pubs in the village were closed(on a Saturdat night) no fault of the hotel.,,Ended up with a pizza...

food was not very good at all / very disapointing

We had been warned that there was a wedding on but it did not disturb us at all and we were able to eat in a local pub. Nice grounds and peaceful/green surroundings. certainly bwould stya there again .

There was no fresh fruit at breakfast. There are some raised bits in the corridors over which it is easy to stumble the hotel needs to warn people about these.
